Principal's Welcome |
Welcome to Fort Collins Christian School: We are a fully accredited Seventh-day Adventist Christian school located in Fort Collins, Colorado. Our dedicated teachers and staff are committed to providing a quality education in a loving Christ-filled environment. We offer a wide range of learning opportunities for Preschool (ages 3-5) through 8th grade. We believe that God created each child special and unique, and all children learn at different rates. We also respect individual differences and learning styles and help each student reach the potential God gave him or her. Our goal is to encourage each student to develop a lifelong personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and also to challenge, support and care for our students as they develop into respectful, responsible, and caring individual with a lifelong desire to learn. In order to achieve our goals, we have implemented the CHERISH Core Values as a way to educate and reinforce the values that are important to us. Here are seven core values we CHERISH: Christ-centered Living, Honor, Exploration, Responsibility, Integrity, Service, and Hero. Please click here to find more about our CHERISH Core Values. Our school is intentionally small, and we are proud of our small school setting. Our teachers know each student very well and are able to help them achieve academic and personal excellence in a safe environment. The low student to teacher ratio (about 10:1) allows us to meet the individual needs of our students through individualized instruction. Our school has multi-age and multi-grade classes: Preschool/Pre-K, Kindergarten-3rd Grade, and 4th-8th Grade. This classroom setting provides our students with peer leadership opportunities and helps them learn to value individual differences. This setting also gives our students the opportunity to learn from each other and to encourage and help other children as well. Learners become teachers at our school. At the Fort Collins Christian School, we have high academic standards. Each student is constantly evaluated, challenged, and encouraged to perform to his or her highest potential. Is your child reaching his or her full potential? I encourage you to spend some time on our website so that you can become better acquainted with our school community. I also recommend that you visit our school so that you can tour our brand-new facility located at the corner of Timberline Street and Nancy Gray Avenue in Fort Collins. |
