Program |
Our Preschool and Pre-K program is designed for students (ages 3-5) who are ready for academic school readiness programs. It is offered from mid-August to late May, five days a week (Monday through Friday). Because of the differences in a preschool child’s readiness for school and different parent’s work schedule, we offer a variety of attendance options for parents to choose for their child: the full- day or half day, morning or afternoon, three to five days a week.
Our program is designed to meet the individual needs of the students through individual instruction and various hands-on learning activities. Students will develop social and emotional skills through a variety of group activities and indoor and outdoor play activities, community learning arrangements with multi-aged students, and peer leadership opportunities. This gives our students the opportunity to learn from each other and to help other children as well. Our Pre-K and Preschool program focuses on developing literacy and numeracy skills through fun, hands-on activities. In addition, students participate in Bible, Art, Music, and Physical Education classes. Students in the full-day program also participate in Social Studies, Science Units and STEM classes weekly. Learning in younger students extends beyond the classroom. We believe that children learn from playing. Playtime helps develop social and emotional skills and also aids in the development of motor skills. Therefore, several blocks of playtime are incorporated into the daily schedule.
