Admission Requirements
1. Application
Submit a completed application form.
2. Age
In accordance with Mid-America Union Conference policy, a student must be at least six years old by September 15 of that year in order to enter the first grade. It is strongly recommended that parents consider the advantages of waiting until the child is seven years old to begin the first grade.
3. Birth Certificate
All transfer/new students are required to present a copy of their birth certificate. A copy will be made and kept on file with student records.
4. Medical Examination
Medical examinations, including an eye examination, are required for all students entering first and seventh grade, as well as all new students.
5. Immunization Records
Parents are required to provide proof of current immunization according to Colorado State Law at the time of registration.
6. Transfer Students
Students transferring from another school must present current transcripts from the last school attended. Students must have and maintain a "C" average. Students transferring after school has begun are required to spend one full day visiting Fort Collins Christian School before admittance.
7. Enrollment Fee and Tuition (See Financial Information)
Satisfactory financial arrangements must be made and the enrollment fee and first month's tuition must be paid at the time of registration. No student will be admitted whose account from the previous school year or from a former school has not been paid in full. Any request for exception will be considered on an individual basis by the School Board.
8. Completion of all necessary forms (Financial, Consent to Treatment, Insurance, etc.)
9. Probation
All students are accepted on scholastic and behavioral probation until the end of the first quarter. A review of the student's progress will be done by the School Board at the end of that period.
10. Formal Admission
Final action for formal admission on all applications for admission are subject to acceptance by the School Board. Conditional acceptance may be made by the Head Teacher subject to action by the School Board. Fort Collins Christian School has been established to offer quality Christian education to "mainstream" students. We do not have the staff, the facilities, or the financial resources to meet the needs of students who are on the extreme ends of the developmental spectrum, either the scholastically gifted or challenged, or those with special learning or behavioral needs.
